The Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 gives you, as a tenant, the right to have small urgent repairs carried out by the Association within a given timescale. The term used for this legislation is “Right to Repair”. The right to repair scheme covers certain types of repairs with an associated cost of repair to a maximum of £350. The scheme entitles you to have the repair done within a certain timescale and if we fail to do that, you may be entitled to compensation.

The types of repair and the timescales set for completion are set by law and not by the Association.

More detail can be found under our Right to Repair Policy.
